Etsy Spotlight – steampunk and gothic jewellery and cemetary postcards
Posted by admin on Apr 10, 2009 in Gothic Wedding, Skully Shopping, Steampunk Wedding | 1 commentSince I’ve recently become addicted to Etsy, I thought I’d have a go at doing a few product features (as opposed to the shop features I normally do). I’ve been finding lots of beautiful and unique items which will complete any wedding outfit, or are perfect as a pick-me-up treat for yourself (you hard-working goth, you
) or a gift for a friend.
This is a bit of an experiment, so please tell me if you like seeing a range of items or you’d rather me continue featuring individual sellers, or you want a mix of both, or none at all.

Gothic Black Lace Earrings, $19, 20% OFF, from peling
These beautiful gothic earrings are handmade by Turkish jewellery maker peling from black lace and Czech crystals. She’s currently having a sale on her vintage-looking lace earrings, and I suggest that any readers who like these hop over there super fast before everything’s gone.

'Wish You Were Here' Grim Postcards, $11 set, from wirefox
Just what every well-faring goth needs, right? A set of ‘Wish You Were Here‘ postcards featuring exquisite prints from a 100 year old cemetary. I love wirefox‘s wry sense of humour. Her shop contains all sorts of treasures – fine art prints, bottle cap art, and other goodies.

Steampunk bracelet, $45 from GoGoGirlz
GoGoGirlz offers this unique steampunk bracelet made from recycled soda can tabs and antique watch parts. The clockface always reads 5 o’clock, which I like because it means work is over for the day
The GoGoGirlz store is run by two really awesome mums (one with a last name starting with G, the other with O) who make some funky, chunky jewellery.
Three exquisite items from three radically different shops. I love them all. How about you?

We confess to being very unhip to this, bit to each his own. We once provided sound reinforcement and dark, dark music for a Halloween wedding ceremony, on which occasion the bride was bedecked in black. Once again, to each his own, and carry on.
