Happy Halloween everybody – I hope you all had a spooky weekend. CDH and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Sunday, with an exchange of gifts (Pandora beads and a book on building model trains), a pub lunch, looking at houses to rent, a kick ass bbq hosted by friends, cupcakes, “eyeballs”, cardboard guitars, silly talk, and a Halloween gig to top it off.

I’m happy to announce the winners of the Halloween Competition are Darkangelwingz and Malice Ann – a copy of the Halloween Wedding Planner is winging it’s way to you ladies today!

I’m behind on work, blogging and writing at the moment, and I’m desperately searching for a place for CDH and I to live. Posts here might be sparse until I can get my life back on track.

Have a Skully day!

I realise my posts on Wedding Skulls have become more erratic of late. I’m sorry. I’ve been busy with preperations for our European trip, copywriting projects, and my brand new blog – Steff Metal.

While Wedding Skulls focuses on my wedding-related business, Steff Metal is MY blog. It’s about the things I love most – metal, writing, fun, travel, fashion, friends, books, life.

If you’re interested, pop over and take a look. Let me know what you think!

This promotion has been a huge success and I’d personally like to thank EVERYONE who has helped spread the word on blogs and forums, and who has purchased my ebooks. I’m totally in awe of all you amazing people who seem to think I have something “useful” to say. I wish each and every one of you an awesome, pig-plague-free day, and hope to see you on the comments threads soon!

Yaaarrrrr!

I might have mentioned this before, but I thought I’d better do a whole post on the topic. Just in time for Etsy Day, Wedding Skulls now has an Etsy shop! You can buy both wedding planner ebooks there – as well as my writing ebooks, and copywriting / marketing writing packages for Etsy shops.

But that’s not the best part. A good friend of mine – Amy Beales – has come on board as well. She’s selling her beautiful line of gothic clothing and accessories, including wedding garters, favor bags, rosaries, coats, corsets, bags and more. Every one of her creations is custom made to your exact measurements, so you can change the colours/fabrics if you desire. Her pride and joy is the Nevermore coat – a stunning red floor-length gothic coat with handmade fastenings.

For those of you who have NO IDEA what I’m rambling on about, Etsy is a network for people to buy and sell handcrafted goods. You can sign up for a free account and browse away till your eyes are sore. So many talented, wonderful people sell and shop on Etsy, and Wedding Skulls is honoured to now be counted amongst them.

Wedding Skulls are also proud members of Etsy Dark Side street team. You can find us on their website, forum and blog. If you search ‘etsydarkteam’ in tags, you’ll find all the delightful gothicky items.

We’re adding new items every day, and we’ve got TONS to add. So keep checking back. We have a special section just for – well – specials, and we’re active in the Etsy forums.

Also, don’t forget that you have only FIVE MORE DAYS of the Wedding Planner Promotion – %50 off both wedding planners when you enter the discount code mmmdonuts or buy through the Etsy shop. Get yours today!

Just a quick reminder – since my other post got buried under all the cool wedding stuff – that for the whole month of April the Gothic Wedding Planner and Halloween Wedding Planner are 50% off if you add the promotional code ‘mmmdonuts’ to the discount box.

A few people have been asking me if they should buy both wedding planners. Honestly, while I’d LOVE for y’all to spend more money in my shop, both planners are basically the same. There’s a few subtle differences, slightly different inspiration ideas, and the wedding directories are different – the halloween one has a full venue directory of haunted attractions, while the gothic one has more corsets/jewellery/headwear/etc listings, including several from etsy. If you’ve already brought both planners and you’re unhappy, please email me and I will refund one of them. I’m nice like that Update on Ebook Promotion and Wedding Skulls Etsy store!

I’m in the process of setting up the Wedding Skulls etsy shop. Not too much there already (we won’t officially launch for a few weeks yet) but I’ll be adding a few more listings over the next few days. My partner, Amy, is away camping this week, but when she gets back we’ll work on putting up her AMAZING clothing (I’m not kidding, you guys will love her stuff). She’s working on a range of gothic/alternative garters at the moment. Seriously awesome. I’m really excited about the store.

This week I’ve got a couple of Steampunk Spotlights – a few cool steampunk items from Etsy you might enjoy (not your usual steampunk – if anything steampunk could be called ‘usual’) and hopefully another Skully Chat with a very cool chick. For now though, I’m enjoying my weeekend break, working on my steampunk novel and eating naughty sweet things. Happy Easter or associated religious/secular holiday everyone!
